The stars came out in full force to celebrate independent film at the 23rd Raindance Film Festival Opening Nigh Gala held last night at the Vue West End. Guests including Martin Freeman, Michelle Collins, Tamzin Outhwaite, Kierston Wareing, Adam Deacon, Douglas Booth, Emily Head, Denis Lawson and Gemma Oaten walked the red carpet and were then treated to the premiere screening of the festival’s opening film, ‘Newcomer’ starring Golden Globe winner Anthony LaPaglia and BIFA winner James Floyd.
The spy drama sees rookie spy Alex (James Floyd) become the primary suspect of an international manhunt following a mistake that costs the lives of his entire team. On the run, Alex must piece together the truth by recreating the events of the ill-fated mission.
Café de Paris then opened their doors to welcome guests to a stylish after party with live music and champagne lasting late into the night.
