Horizon – A brand new British Science Fiction web series launches in October

Web Series have become a popular genre for a quick fix of a gripping drama or comedy, now Horizon an exciting science fiction web series is about to be launched and it was made in the heart of Bristol. The cast includes Alica Ancel (Sherlock Holmes), Paul Tonkin (Gingerbread Man), Simon Pearce (Casualty), Kate Davies (Kaleidoscope Man), Kessie Bartlett (Skins), Jason Allen (Heavy Duty) and is directed by Paul Dudbridge.

The lives of five people are forever changed when a mysterious alien ship appears on the skyline over Bristol. Its intentions unclear, the disparate group attempt to flee the city and reach loved ones, but their efforts are impeded by a city in panic, looters, and the threat of military attack. As they battle to stick together, loyalties and relationships are tested, and an even larger question remains: who are these mysterious visitors and why are they here?

Horizon is produced by Hanover Pictures in association with CBA Productions and Nutty Squirrel Films. The ten bite sized episodes run between 4-6 minutes and the first episode will be launched on October 5th, 8pm at www.horizonwebseries.com, with a new episode running each consecutive week-night for the next two weeks.

The series opens in the aftermath of a near fatal car accident, four people are returning from a funeral when they look to the sky and see a mysterious alien ship hovering over their home city. From this moment, they know that nothing will be the same….
