Night Dancing – Barney Cokeliss is magnificent in his direction

Night Dancing Trailer Barney Cokeliss from Steam Films on Vimeo.

Director Barney Cokeliss’ Night Dancing takes you on a tranquil journey of a man who keeps seeing visions of dancers in the midst of city life, completely uninterrupted. Every night, Bob is transfixed by the vision of a woman dancing outside his window; while in the day, he wonders if what he sees truly exists.

The film stars: Jason Thorpe (Fast and Furious 6), Louise Tanoto (Tom Dale Company), Jacob Ingram-Dodd (Punchdrunk) and Alister Cameron (Foyle’s War).

As the cinematic dancers continue swiftly through the night Bob (Jason Thorpe) contemplates the reality of what he sees. Barney Cokeliss is magnificent in his direction between the dances of “pas de deux” and the increasing faith represented in such. Night Dancing is lonely yet peaceful, exhibiting the true human experiences of hope and melancholy all encompassed in one film.
