Hakeem Kae-Kazim has starred as Mr. Scott in Michael Bay’s popular series Black Sails for the last three seasons. Now, this popular actor is currently starring as Lucifer’s right hand man The Prophet, in the exciting post-apocalyptic drama Dominion and will soon be in Lifetime’s brand new and much-awaited series of Roots.
He gained international notoriety in his stand out role as George Rutugunda’ in the Oscar nominated film Hotel Rwanda, but it is in his much appraised role of Colonel Ike Dubaku in 24, which rose this talented actor to fame. Hakeem’s impressive filmography includes X-Men, Pirates of the Caribbean, Half of a Yellow Sun, The 4th Kind, as well as prime time Television shows including: Criminal Minds, Gotham, NCIS LA, Human Target and many more.
The post-apocalyptic drama Dominion takes place in the year 25 AE, when an army of lower angels has waged war against mankind. Coming out of the 25-year-long battle are newly fortified cities that protect humans who survived the war. Hakeem stars as Lucifer’s unpredictable and mysterious right hand man.
The brand new adaptation of Alex Haley’s Roots will premiere in 2016. The series chronicles the history of an African slave Kunta Kinte, who was captured and shipped to America, where he was forced to work as a slave on a plantation. LeVar Burton, who portrayed Kinte in the original, will co-executive produce the new miniseries, which will be shown in 2016 on Lifetime in the US, and The History Chanel in the UK. Hakeem, a proud African, is excited to be part of this important story.
