Directors Allie Light and Patrick Stark’s live action short film Any Wednesday shares a story of two strangers – an elderly woman with dementia and a homeless vet with PTSD, who meet under unusual circumstances. This topical film which premiered in Toronto, was an official selection at the Cindependent Film Fest in Cincinnati, taking home the Best Actor Award (Shane Dean) and was an official selection at the Mill Valley Film Festival, the Peterhof Film Festival and the French Riviera Film Festival in Cannes.
An octogenarian with dementia meets a PTSD afflicted homeless vet after choir practice and gives him a ride instead of going home. Separated by age, race, class, and even diagnoses, the two bond in their frail humanity.

Any Wednesday is her first narrative film.
Patrick Stark worked his way up in Vancouver’s Hollywood film-service business to writing, directing and producing films of his own. After a stint on the fifth season of The X-Files, Stark assembled many of the show’s crew to produce Tilt, a contemporary re-imagining of Don Quixote. He is currently in post production on his first feature length documentary, One Life No Regrets, a production spanning ten years.
Producer Julia Hilder is a former television journalist with 15 years experience in the media that included reporting and anchoring in Houston, El Paso and Austin, Texas. Julia’s first documentary was Desert Dogs, about stray dogs on the Navajo reservation in New Mexico. She directed and produced the film along with her husband David Lundstedt who is also a producer on Any Wednesday. She also co-produced the feature documentary Blind Spot: Murder by Women with film directors Allie Light and Irving Saraf.
Any Wednesday will now screen at film festivals in Marina Del Rey and The Hague.
