Director Jimmy Olsson’s topical film 2^nd Class tackles the sadly relevant issue of racism. Since its festival run, the film has already won 9 awards after only being on the festival circuit for barely 3 months. This topical film screened at the Oscar-qualifying Flickers Rhode Island Film Festival where it won the International Humanitarian award. It won Best Short Film at Giffoni Film Festival, The Youth Award at Kraljevski Filmski Festival and the Audience favourite at Sao Paulo International Short Film Festival. This film screened at Leeds International Film Festival where it received Honourable Mention and it also received Honourable Mention at Delhi Shorts International Film Festival.

Charlotte has got a new job as a second-grade teacher. One night she is attacked by a Nazi and is severely injured. When she comes back to her students she discovers that one of her students is the son of a Nazi.

Swedish writer and director Jimmy Olson studied at film school in Stockholm and went on to create nine films. His filmography includes 2^nd Class, the comedy Palmegruppen tar långlunch, Void, Ceasar, the comedy Bättre Ränta, Förträngd, Linjer and Leva, leva, leva. Olsson prefers stories that focus on the human being, inner self and relations. When he is not doing short films or writing scripts he directs commercials.

 2^nd Class stars newcomer Hannah Alem Davidson and introduces Mio Melberg. Olsson makes a cameo as the Nazi and the beautiful cinematography was created by Bo Pärletun.

This wonderful film won Best Screenplay at the Short to the Point Film Festival, Best Actor at the Diversions International Film Festival and Best International Short Film at Hidalgo Film Fest.
